Safety is not an act, it is a habit that we live every day in delivering upon our goal of zero incidents and is a guiding principal that will not be compromised – ever.
Creating a safe and healthy work environment is a part of our company culture and a guiding principal that will not be comprised – ever. Our goal is, and will always remain, to be to work with zero incidents and we take every reasonable measure to achieve this for our personnel, those who work with and around us, and of course to the general public that is often in proximity of the work that we do.
Demolition is complex and holds the inherent potential to be dangerous and, as such, we realize that achieving this goal is not a small undertaking. However, we expect all persons on or associated with our sites to not only accept their respective safety responsibilities but help in advocating our zero incident goal. Mitchell Demolition’s management, supervisory staff, employees and subcontractors are required to work in compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board requirements and the Mitchell Demolition safety program.
Mitchell Demolition’s highly developed, ‘beyond-compliance’ corporate safety program, site specific safety programs as well as the emergency response plan are strictly enforced during every aspect of every job to ensure that we are habitually ‘living’ our safety philosophy.
Every project we undertake is conducted in strict compliance with all local regulations, our corporate safety program and a project site specific safety programs aligned to client-specific requirements. We have a full time health & safety representative on staff to ensure all our employees have the appropriate training required to work on our sites and use the practice of positive reinforcement to support and motivate all stakeholders to take an active, positive role with respect to safety.
